Day 106 of Wonder

Yesterday we had an unexpected visitor. This stunning kestrel had flown into a third story window which resisted his flight and thrust him unceremoniously onto the unforgiving pavement below. He survived miraculously and is expected to recover from his mostly internal injuries. As we sought help, just for a few brief moments, this wild bird looked into my eyes and I felt a light skip in my heart. Truly an awe moment.
