Day 153 of Wonder

365 Days of Wonder

I never get tired of seeing trees highlighted against a blue sky. The crispness of the air this morning added sharp lines to each branch and voluptuous foliage. It's that incredible morning after the rain feel that brings everything alive with a freshness, newness, aliveness that is hard to resist. The fact that nature can be so stunning eludes my understanding. Is it beautiful because it is all we know? Or is it intrinsically beautiful for reasons that are random or unknowable? Why is beauty written into the very DNA of life? Of nature? Ahhh... mystery.
