Day 159 of Wonder
A field of flowers left to grow wildly amidst more conventional crops like, wheat, corn, root vegetables, rapeseed. I love how every year the crops are rotated and fields like this are essential to the ongoing programme to care for the environment. Last year, two fields near here were filled with flowers like these and the crowning glory, sunflowers. The scent alone was stunning, not to mention the awesomeness of a field of mixed flowers. The land around feels incredibly controlled, but these little pockets of wonder provide small moments of wild random beauty and joy.
