Day 308 of Wonder

Wild, juicy berries. After a little research I've discovered why this plant seemed so alien to the immediate forest environment. It is a native of America and known as Pokeweed (Phytolacca americana) and although all parts are mildly poisonous when eaten, they can be used in herbal concoctions and if handled correctly various parts can be made into jams, dyes and so forth. Total stunner and will keep my eyes open in the future to see how it fares.
