Day 309 of Wonder
I've often paused in fascination at this amazing pile of cut logs. (It's one of two piles actually.) It would be unfair to claim it as a national past-time, nevertheless, for some, gathering and storing logs for an unknown future can take on epidemic proportions. Clearly, these logs have been left to gather moss. Stacked haphazardly on top of each other they start to meld together, held in place by gravity, rot and the ever-present moss. I'm such a huge admirer of moss, that alone holds enough wonder to draw me in. Mixed with wood, well, that just takes it to another level.
